SARAH SENECA Residential Services is a not-for-profit agency that supports individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in residential settings.
We are seeking a dedicated, responsible, and hands-on Group Home Manager to oversee the operations of a CLA group home for individuals with disabilities.
Group Home experience is important since you will be training the staff on how to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Oversee the medical appointments for individuals to ensure they receive proper medical care. Maintain the medical records to ensure all follow up with doctors is happening as needed. Ensure staff know how to handle different behavioral challenges and document behavior data.
Create and maintain the staff schedule to ensure all shifts get filled.
Create a good team environment for staff and maintain professionalism at all times.
Supervise group home staff to ensure shift responsibilities are completed and proper care of individuals.
You will ensure the group home is in compliance for licensing and DDS QSRs. Understanding of regulations and the individual plan process is helpful.
Act as the case manager for all the individuals in the home by writing Individuals Plans, Program Goals, and attending all team meetings.
Complete paperwork for SSA, SSI, and redetermination paperwork. Oversee the finances for the individuals in the home to ensure they have everything they need. Supervise the spending in home for household supplies and necessities as well.
Maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment for the individuals at the group home.
Managers are on-call for their group home Monday-Friday and rotate an on-call phone on the weekends.
This is only some of the various tasks that a group home manager is responsible for.
*Required to have a High school diploma and valid driver's license, DDS Medication certification is a plus, and experience working in a group home setting.
